Family Medicine Physician: High-Impact Clinical Role with Residency Supervision

This premier FQHC is dedicated to providing high-quality, equitable healthcare to the diverse and underserved populations of Syracuse, New York. This is a physician led organization, where you'll work shoulder to shoulder with the President & CEO seeing patients.


Key Responsibilities


  • Clinical Excellence: Provide comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient panel, including the management of complex medical cases.
  • Teaching: Spend dedicated time with PGY-1, and PGY-2 Family Medicine Residents.
  • Patient Volume: Maintain an efficient clinical workflow with a targeted average of 21 patients per day.
  • Care Team Leadership: Lead a shared care team model (APPs, RNs, LPNs, and MAs) to ensure seamless patient transitions and high-quality outcomes.
  • Community Impact: Support and rotate through the "Quick Care" clinic, which manages high-volume time sensitive needs, unscheduled, and serves as a feeder for long-term primary care relationships. Additional opportunities to participate in mobile clinics providing street medicine.

  • Onboarding: A thorough and supportive onboarding process specifically designed to help providers transition into the complex patient care model.
  • Efficient Environment: Work in a state-of-the-art facility where providers typically manage 3 rooms at a time to maximize patient throughput and support.
  • Modern Practice: Utilize Epic EHR for all in-room documentation and clinical tracking, PatientPoint in each exam room, and Freed AI Medical Scribe.
  • Integrated Care: Collaborate with on-site services, including eyecare, nutrition, podiatry, behavioral health, dental services, radiology, lab, pharmacy, and case management to provide holistic patient care.
Qualifications

  • Education: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited program.
  • Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (ABMS or AOA).
  • Licensure: Must hold or be eligible for an active New York State medical license.
  • Mission-Driven: A commitment to public health and providing care in underserved urban environments.
Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: Competitive compensation of 250,000 - 275,000.
