Job description

Mission Recruiting proudly represents a growing, specialized medical malpractice defense firm seeking an Associate Attorney to join its team. Attorneys at all experience levels, including newly barred attorneys, are encouraged to apply. Preferred candidates will have 2+ years of experience in civil litigation, insurance defense, or medical malpractice.

  • $125,000 - $200,000+ (DOE), with discretionary annual bonus eligibility
  • Complex medical malpractice and professional liability defense litigation matters
  • Attorneys of all experience levels, including newly barred attorneys, are eligible.
  • Fully in-office in Irvine for the first six months; hybrid may be discussed after that

You’ll defend healthcare professionals in complex medical malpractice and professional liability matters involving patient care, peer review proceedings, and Medical Board investigations. This may include matters tied to patient complaints, professional conduct concerns, quality-of-care allegations, documentation issues, credentialing concerns, or potential administrative discipline. This role also includes drafting pleadings, motions, and legal analyses, collaborating on case strategy, providing client updates, and managing a steady caseload. Experienced attorneys may also take or defend depositions and appear in court.
