Summary
Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced Attorney to join our growing Medical Malpractice department. The Medical Malpractice Attorney will handle and support a heavy and complex case-load of cases from pre-litigation, litigation, trial prep and trial. This is an opportunity to join an established practice group and one of our top producing teams. This position would sit in our Atlanta, GA office.
Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day handling of medical malpractice cases from intake through resolution, including trial
  • Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memorandum
  • Guide clients through the case process
  • Interaction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits
  • Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances and trial

Qualifications
  • Law degree from a fully accredited law school
  • An active member in good standing with the GA State Bar Association
  • 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience, ideally involving medical negligence/malpractice, catastrophic injury, and/or nursing home matters
  • Ability to manage high volume
  • Excellent client service and communication skills
  • Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
  • Superior writing and oral advocacy skills
