Fast-growing healthcare company is seeking a dynamic Medical Equipment Planner. Go Energistics, LLC. (GoE) is a Texas HUB certified and service-disabled veteran owned small business. We are a healthcare planning and services company that helps our clients plan, design, equip, procure, relocate, and establish new operations in rebuilt or new facilities globally. Summary
The Medical Equipment Planner is responsible for planning and developing an equipment plan to support all medical equipment taking into account the client’s required level of technology, program planning objectives, and budgets.
Duties / Responsibilities
  • Determine client requirements for medical equipment to support the medical practice needs for all facility spaces.
  • Develop equipment planning documents.
  • Conduct client/user interviews and meetings to refine and modify equipment planning documents.
  • Provide project specific medical equipment information to design team.
  • Analyze master plan, space program and/or schematic design documents to determine medical equipment requirements.
  • Maintain equipment planning database and resource library.
  • Develop equipment specifications for contractor-furnished medical equipment.
  • Review shop drawings for contractor-furnished medical equipment.
Required Skills / Abilities
  • Knowledgeable about medical facilities and the functions/procedures performed in facility spaces.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the function of medical equipment and medical terminology.
  • Must have ability to work with and communicate effectively with healthcare and architectural/engineering professionals.
  • Must be a team player.
Education and Experience
  • BS/BA or equivalent with technical emphasis (engineering, electronics, nursing, physics) preferred.
  • Prior significant experience with medical equipment in a healthcare setting required.
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in one of three areas: Nursing (hospital setting), Biomedical/Clinical Engineering, or Medical Equipment Planning.
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on medical equipment planning experience.
  • Previous experience with the architectural design process strongly desired.
  • Word processing and spreadsheet skills preferred.
  • AutoCAD and/or Revit experience a plus.
Travel Requirements
Up to 50% travel.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No direct supervision of others.
