Job Responsibilities
The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for planning, creating, publishing and analyzing content that engages prospective students, current students, parents, alumni, faculty, staff and community stakeholders. The successful candidate will help bring the Lander story to life through compelling content, strategic campaigns and audience-focused storytelling that supports enrollment, retention, advancement and brand awareness goals.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, digital media, journalism or a related field. Demonstrated experience creating engaging content for multiple social media platforms. Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills. Experience with social media management and analytics platforms. Strong customer service skills and a commitment to ethical communication practices. Valid driver's license and safe driving history are required.
Additional Comments
Must have strong knowledge of social media platforms, audience engagement, and content best practices. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to create engaging content for diverse audiences. Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools, along with basic photography, videography, and short-form video editing skills. Experience with social media analytics and performance reporting. Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively across departments in a fast-paced environment.
