Job description

Job Duties

Vice President, Software Engineering with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, New York. Drive automation and resilience of infrastructure supporting 99.5% availability. Drive technical teams towards an "automate everything" approach to systems management and DevOps Engineering practices. Contribute to the modernizations of the CI/CD pipelines. Build and maintain metrics and alarms using modern observability practices. Perform technical reviews of changes, providing feedback and mentoring to junior engineers. Collaborate with engineering leadership, developers, and operations to prepare written and verbal presentations. Ensure security of environments and compliance with all risk and security policies and practices. Participate in various technical and architectural discussions both within the team and across the organization.

Job Requirements

Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related software engineering position OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related software engineering position. Prior experience must include three (3) years with Master’s OR five (5) years with Bachelor’s with the following: application security engineering or full-stack software engineering position; utilizing programming languages, automation frameworks, and DevOps tools including Python, Go, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar; cloud infrastructure systems and automation; common patterns for application and infrastructure management including container technologies and systems including EC2, ELB, Docker, and ECS; Cloud computing with AWS including migrations and native implementation; infrastructure as Code(IaC) using Terraform; and performing modern systems design and scale in AWS.

Salary Range

Annual base salary for this New York, New York -based position is $151,000 - $259,800.
