Job Summary: Scrum Master - Sr. Software Engineer
Location: Indianapolis, IN | Hybrid (3+ days onsite) | Temp to Hire
About the Role
V2X is seeking a motivated Scrum Master - Sr. Software Engineer to drive agile best practices and lead software teams in delivering advanced situational awareness systems. You'll work onsite with diverse engineering teams developing mission-critical avionics, sensors, and embedded systems. This hybrid role is based in Indianapolis with an expectation to transition to a full-time, long-term position.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, ensuring effective and time-boxed Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Support backlog refinement and user story estimation with Product Owners and development teams
- Remove team impediments to accelerate value delivery and maximize productivity
- Coach and mentor teams on self-management, cross-functionality, and agile best practices
- Ensure Scrum process adherence, driving continuous improvement and team growth
- Serve as a communication bridge between teams, product owners, stakeholders, and leadership
- Champion Agile adoption across the organization and contribute to Agile practice improvements
- Actively participate in learning and development opportunities, including advanced certifications and communities of practice
Required Skills and Experience
- 6+ years in software development or related engineering roles
- At least 1 year of experience as a dedicated Scrum Master
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capability
- Proven ability to communicate effectively within teams and across stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on delivery and continuous improvement
- US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
