Overview

The Senior Marketing Specialist is responsible for leading and executing retail-first marketing strategies that drive consumer engagement, increase in-store conversion, and maximize sales across all retail channels for the Hoosier Lottery. This role focuses on the development and execution of integrated retail marketing campaigns, merchandising strategies, and retailer-specific promotions. The position partners closely with Sales, Analytics, and Creative teams to ensure all retail touchpoints-physical and digital-are optimized to deliver a compelling and consistent player experience.

Responsibilities
  • Lead development and execution of retail marketing strategies that prioritize in-store visibility, shopper engagement, and conversion
  • Partner with Sales and Corporate Account teams to develop retailer-specific marketing programs, promotions, and loyalty initiatives
  • Manage budgets associated with retail marketing campaigns, merchandising, and POS production to ensure efficient spending and strong ROI
  • Works collaboratively with Analysts to track effectiveness and analyze merchandising and other specialย retailย initiatives and retail promotions.
  • Establishes and managesย retailย marketing calendar to support business objectives
  • Works with internal and external resources to optimize temporary and permanent merchandising options to maximize sales impact and reduce costs
  • Manage, track and analyze the use of digital marketing communications for retailers, which includes coordination with internal and external staff
  • Manage digital marketing touchpoints including ESMM, GameTouch vending machines, and more to ensure alignment with campaigns and promotions
  • Manage, track and analyze the use of marketing collateral creation and distribution at regional andย retailerย level
  • Collaborate with the Sales department to ensureย retailerย communications embrace the needs of theย retailerย while also reflecting the communication priorities of Hoosier Lottery
  • Manage the 360 strategies and execution of winner awareness within the retail environment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Graphic Services, Digital, Product, and PR teams to deliver cohesive omnichannel retail campaigns
  • Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of the Hoosier Lottery player in allย retailย environments and translates that understanding to recommendations associated to existing or newย retailย initiatives
  • Attend regional sales meetings to gather feedback and present new marketing initiatives
  • Identify and test innovative retail marketing tactics, technologies, and vendor solutions to enhance the in-store experience
  • Performs other required tasks as assigned
Qualifications

Education:

  • BS or BA required, with a concentration in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Advertising preferred

Years Experience:

  • Minimum 3-7 years of experience in Brand, Marketing and/or Advertising
  • Business-to-Consumer marketing experience within a fast-paced retail environment and/or CPG organization is preferred

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $38,281 - $156,700. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.ย  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.ย  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
