Job description

Location: Elmhurst College

  • We are hiring immediately for full time Marketing Assistant (Admin Assistant Hourly) positions.
  • Address: 190 Prospect Avenue, Elmhurst, IL 60126. Note: online applications accepted only.
  • Schedule: Full time schedule; Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Occasional weekends and nights throughout the semester. More details upon interview.
  • Requirement: Prior experience in social media, graphic design (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), or similar design software), proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience in event planning or marketing is preferred.
  • •    Creates and coordinates content for social media, print, digital signage, and marketing initiatives. 
    •    Assists with planning and execution of campus events, promotions, and retail marketing campaigns. 
    •    Supports student marketing ambassadors and collaborates with dining and campus partners. 
    •    Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while adapting to changing priorities. 
  • Pay Range:  $23.00 per hour to $25.00 per hour.

Job Summary


Summary:  The position entails a need for excellent communication skills; ability to multi-task on a variety of projects simultaneously, accurate distribution of pertinent information both internally to all departments as well as to clients and related vendors.  Excellent client skills in presentation and marketing ability.   .  
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist management staff in preparing confidential employment and labor relations documents, including but not limited to proposed disciplinary notices.
  • Assist with staffing, including finding staff when employees call out on short notice.
  • Work effectively and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, school personnel, administrators, student's parents and Supervisor.
  • Complete and maintain accurate and up to date records of students eligible for free and reduced priced lunches if applicable.
  • Coordinates content needed for marketing initiatives.
  • Works within provided budgets and guidelines.
  • Works with vendors and agencies.
  • Attend in-service and/or safety meetings as required.
  • Coordinates field marketing requests and activities.
  • Assists with presentations and proposals.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment; ability to perform job safely.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
