Job description

The Temporary Marketing Specialist performs duties required to maintain Whidbey Telecom's marketing program using appropriate tools and tactics to create content, collateral, and digital communications that keep customers, community members, and co-workers connected. This is a temporary position located in our Langley, WA office.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT NECESSARILY BE LIMITED TO:

Content Generation:

  • Manage and/or create engaging content for all marketing collateral, such as product brochures, website, social media, video assets, and direct mail and email campaigns.
  • Ensure that all marketing initiatives comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and update WordPress website.
  • Utilize creative tools like Canva and Adobe Creative Suite and resources to produce visually appealing and engaging multimedia content.

Community Engagement:

  • Foster a positive and inclusive community environment by responding to comments, messages, and reviews promptly and respectfully.
  • Assist with or support community events, such as parades, festivals, and local gatherings, to strengthen our relationship with the community.

Social Media Coordination:

  • Maintain Whidbey Telecom’s social media strategy across various platforms that appropriately represent the company.
  • Create engaging content, including posts, images, and videos, that aligns with our brand voice and resonates with our target audience.
  • Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and inquiries promptly, and proactively address any issues or concerns.
  • Analyze and present social media data and metrics to evaluate campaigns' effectiveness and identify improvement areas.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to maximize our online presence.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Monitor and analyze social media analytics to track performance, identify trends, and generate insights for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports highlighting key social media metrics, campaign results, and community engagement activities.
  • Provide recommendations based on data analysis to optimize social media strategies and increase community engagement.
  • Analyze target audiences and understand their preferences, behaviors, and demographics.
