Job description

Position Summary GENERAL SUMMARY: Under supervision, landscape or maintain grounds of parks using hand or power tools or equipment performing a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, and sprinkler repair; maintenance, repair and upkeep of park facilities and areas maintained by the golf course; and perform related work as required. Job Duties Dispose of trash or waste materials. Daily operational procedures may include changing of green hole location and moving of teemarkers.

Operate grounds maintenance equipment including but not limited to general mowers,trucksters, trimmers, etc. Assist with manual irrigation procedures including turf, trees, and ornamentals Irrigate lawns, trees, or plants; and flower beds. Weed annual and perennial flower beds.

Cultivate lawns, turf, or gardens. Maintain sports field surfaces. Rake sand traps, remove leaves/debris and maintain trap edges.

Clean facilities or sites. Use time and attendance software and other records. Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Operation and Control - Using equipment or systems. Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or display screens to make sure a machine is working. Control Precision - Quickly changing the controls of a machine, car or truck.

Near and Far Vision -Seeing details up close and far away. Depth Perception - Deciding which thing is closer or farther away from you or deciding how faraway it is from you. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: At least one month of experience operating light to medium sized equipment.

16 years of age or older. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a state driver's license. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with golf course maintenance equipment.

Experience with golf course maintenance. Experience with outdoor equipment such as lawnmowers, weed eaters and chainsaws. WORKING CONDITIONS: Duties require use of physical strength and working outside in inclement weather.

Occasional weekend work required.
