Work EnvironmentTemporary assignments, short-term projectsLong-term employment at property complexes
Employer & Industry UsageProperty management companies, leasing agenciesProperty management firms, apartment communities

Temporary Leasing Agent Commission refers to short-term, contract-based roles with variable pay, while Leasing Consultant Commission usually involves ongoing employment with steady commission structures. Both roles focus on leasing properties but differ in duration and payment structure.

How much do leasing consultants make with commission?

Leasing consultants typically earn an hourly wage plus commissions or bonuses based on the number of leases they secure. On average, their total earnings can range from $30,000 to $60,000 annually, depending on location, experience, and performance. Commission structures vary by employer but often incentivize high lease volume and customer service skills.

Why is it so hard to get a leasing agent job?

A leasing agent job can be competitive due to high demand for customer service skills, sales ability, and knowledge of property management software. Employers often seek candidates with relevant experience, certifications, or leasing licenses, which can make entry-level positions challenging to secure without prior background or training.

Where do leasing agents make the most money?

Leasing agents tend to earn higher commissions in markets with high rental prices and competitive rental demand, such as major metropolitan areas. Income can also increase with experience, strong sales skills, and certifications like Certified Leasing Consultant (CLC).

Do all leasing agents get commission?

Not all leasing agents receive commissions; it depends on the employer's compensation structure. Many leasing agents earn a base salary plus commissions or bonuses based on leasing performance, while others may work solely on commission or hourly wages. Commission eligibility often depends on the company's policies and the agent's employment agreement.
