Job description

Assembly Technician

Pay: $17.50/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts

Type: Temp-to-Hire


We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Balls & Seats Assembly Technician to join a manufacturing team. This position supports the production of precision components used in the coating and painting process of battery cans manufactured to customer specifications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, clean, rework, and inspect Balls & Seats components
  • Perform testing and quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications
  • Follow measurement matrices and work instructions to maintain proper shimming and clearance requirements
  • Use precision measuring tools and maintain accurate documentation as needed
  • Perform brazing operations on metal components using current equipment (open-flame process)
  • Adapt to updated procedures when induction brazing equipment is implemented
  • Identify and correct defects or inconsistencies in parts
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise, repetitive work
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow detailed instructions and specifications
  • Comfortable working with small parts and precision measurements
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, inspection, brazing, or quality control experience is a plus
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
