Job description

TheCharltonPoliceDepartmentis currently hiring for a PoliceOfficer.We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive, and community-oriented Police Officer for an opening in the department. Applicants must have completed MPTC Full Time Police Academy or a Post Approved Bridge Academy. Must be POST compliant. Charlton is a non civil service police department.

Duties:APoliceOfficerworksundersupervisiontoperformlawenforcementduties,protectinglife, property,andthecivilrightsofindividuals.Primarydutiesincludepatrol;interactingwithcitizensto provideservice and renderassistance; preparingandcompletingrecords, reports, and other paperwork documenting incidents for use in prosecution. APolice Officer isdispatched tocrimeand emergency scenesin response to reportedviolations, accidents, domestic disputesandabuses,and otherincidents;carriesoutcrimesceneduties;makesarrestsandperformssearchandseizure; conductsinvestigations;andinterviews witnesses, suspects, andcomplainants.
