International Shipping Coordinator | $23-$27/hr
West Caldwell, NJ | 1st Shift | 3-Month Temporary Assignment with Strong Potential for Extension or Permanent Hire
ZING is hiring an International Shipping Coordinator! We're looking for someone with hands-on international shipping experience who can confidently coordinate with customers, carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate domestic and international inbound and outbound shipments
  • Process customer orders and review shipping requirements
  • Prepare bills of lading, packing slips, commercial invoices, shipping labels, and customs documents
  • Coordinate with customers, carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses, and internal departments
  • Track shipments and resolve delays, documentation errors, and delivery issues
  • Support dangerous-goods and hazardous-material shipments
  • Maintain accurate shipping and order records
Requirements
  • International shipping experience required
  • Previous shipping, logistics, order-processing, warehouse, or distribution experience
  • Experience preparing bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing slips, and customs documentation
  • Experience communicating and coordinating with customers, carriers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal departments
  • Experience coordinating inbound and outbound freight
  • Knowledge of domestic and international shipping procedures and documentation
  • Experience with shipping, ERP, WMS, TMS, or order-processing software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines
Preferred
  • EDI order-processing experience
  • Dangerous-goods or hazardous-material shipping experience
  • DOT, IATA, IMDG, customs, or export-compliance knowledge
  • Parcel, LTL, FTL, air, ocean, and international freight experience
  • SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, or similar experience
  • Manufacturing, chemical, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food, or regulated-industry experience
