Job Description
Are you looking to get hands on experience in an Environment Testing Laboratory? We are hiring for an entry level position in Sample Disposal Technician to support our sample prep and receipt team. This would be a temporary, seasonal role.
The Sample Dispoal Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Prepare samples for processing.
  • Distributes samples in different departments as appropriate.
  • Follows strict safety and quality control procedures.
  • Stores, restocks, and shelves samples as necessary.
  • Ensures that work area is clean and organized.
  • Enters records in LIMS system.
  • Assist sample receiving group with unpacking coolers and labeling samples.
  • Assists and oversees all the different aspects of storing, distributing, logging, and disposing samples.

Qualifications
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • The ability to climb a step stool.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

The ideal candidate would possess:
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
  • Pays close attention to detail.
  • Exhibits ability to use LIMS software competently.(will train)
  • Possesses basic math skills.
  • Works well with a team.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively.
  • Demonstrates solid problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates awareness of safety procedures

Additional Information
Position is 1st shift, Monday- Friday, 8 AM- 4 PM, located at our Barberton, OH location.
Temporary, Seasonal Role
Position Pay Range: $18- $19/hr starting range based on experience.
