Job description

Restoration Technician

G2 is a full-service Restoration Contractor servicing the North Texas region. We specialize in a broad scope of construction and repair services including Water Restoration, Mold Remediation and Asbestos Abatement, for both residential and commercial properties.

Summary:

Restoration Technician will support the cleanup and restoration of water and mold damage of residential and commercial buildings and contents by traveling to damaged homes or businesses.

Reports to:

Mitigation Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Communicate with home, business owners and insurance adjusters
  • Removal of water and mold damaged building materials and contents.
  • Set up and maintenance of drying chambers inside of water damaged buildings and homes.
  • Treatment and removal of water and mold damage to residential and commercial buildings.
  • Inventory and clean contents.
  • Set up drying equipment to remediate and dry buildings
  • Document moisture meter reading of water and mold damaged buildings.
  • Update Labor sheets and sketch upon completion
  • Respond to emergency calls within the standard of G2 Restoration
  • Establish and record scope of work to be accomplished
  • Maintain equipment while on down time.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Experience in restoration industry is preferred, including any or all of the following:
    • water mitigation
    • mold remediation
    • asbestos abatement
  • Availability for on-call rotations (sporadic weekend and late calls)
  • Proven ability to remain organized while working under difficult conditions.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize
  • Must be a team player
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must be a self-starter and self-motivated
  • Must be organized
  • Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization and to interact professionally with customers
  • Institution of Inspection, Cleaning & Restoration Certification (IICRC) a plus.
  • Professional appearance
  • High School diploma
  • Must be able to stand for 8 to 10 hours
  • Must be able to move up to 150 pounds with assistance and consistently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
