What does the Human Resources Generalist do?

  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth and compliant processes.
  • Partner with leadership and employees to provide HR guidance, support employee relations, and address workplace concerns.
  • Lead recruiting and onboarding efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and delivering a strong new hire experience.
  • Administer benefits and leave programs, including enrollments, changes, vendor coordination, and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Maintain and optimize HR systems and records (HRIS/UKG), ensuring accuracy, reporting, and workflow efficiency.
  • Monitor employment laws and HR best practices, recommending policy and process enhancements to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Support performance management, employee development, and engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Analyze HR metrics and contribute to special projects, using data to inform decisions and improve HR practices.
