Description
Linn County Public Health Clinical Services is seeking two (2) temporary Medical Assistants. This position conducts County-wide immunization audits in the school districts; assists with a variety of immunization clinics County-wide, which may include drawing blood, doing finger sticks, taking blood pressures, vital signs and patient histories and dispensing medication; performs other related duties as assigned.
Hourly Wage: $22.75
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program or the equivalent
  • Two (2) years of clinic, hospital, or public health records keeping and medical experience required.
Special Requirements
Valid State of Iowa driver's license required or must have ability to obtain transportation to off-site clinics, meetings, or trainings. Must pass a County physical examination which includes a drug test after offer of employment.

Shift varies; 8 hours per day
