Job Description SummarySenior role within the GE Aviation Materials (GEAM) Engine Trading & Leasing team responsible for managing buying of unserviceable engines, aircraft, and portfolio of aircraft & engines to support GEAM's yearly targets for used material consumption.
Owns/influences commercial business operating guidelines and has ownership/influence over yearly aircraft & engine acquisition targets. Guided by functional policy. This is highly visible role within GEAM and GE Aerospace which requires an entrepreneurial approach to increase asset purchases on and off the open market. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated to meet or exceed targets while working cross functionally within the organization and manage the unserviceable engine procurement process from end-to-end.Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Formulates and executes proposal strategy and purchase agreements. Formulates deal structure, works with pricing teams and product line managers, proposal development. Leads customer negotiations. Identifies new opportunities with Leads hunting and targeting activities for engines across the globe.
  • Understand used engine market pricing dynamics and trends to negotiate sale and purchase pricing. Lead all activities related to engine trading, including, but not limited to, deal negotiation, contracting, deal closing, and engine handoff processes. Ownership of team Key Performance Indicators.
  • Utilizes FLIGHT DECK to improve proposal process. This is a hybrid of both sales' origination and commercial proposal activities where ongoing duties of roughly equal importance.
  • Developing commercial expertise across one or more countries, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customer groups. Influences strategy and ensures delivery across large and/or diverse sales territories.
  • Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.
  • Leads efforts to find creative solutions to address complex projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers. Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
  • Establish and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
  • Be a focal to the market in terms of representing GE Aerospace on engine procurement and other various activities across the broader business

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and 5+ years of experience in aircraft and aircraft engine trading and/or leasing.

  • Engine transaction expertise: Proven experience leading end-to-end buy/sell engine transactions, including valuation, deal structuring, and closing.

  • Exceptional responsiveness: Consistently delivers rapid, high-quality responses to internal and external stakeholders, with a strong sense of urgency and ownership.
  • Contract development capabilities: Ability to independently draft, review, and refine commercial contracts and transaction documents, in partnership with legal as needed.
  • Exceptional communication skills: Demonstrated ability to clearly and persuasively communicate complex information in both written and verbal form, tailored to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • Advanced negotiation skills: Strong track record of negotiating complex commercial terms to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining constructive, long-term partner relationships.
