MercedesBenz HighPower Charging (MBHPC) | New York City, NY or Atlanta, GA

Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging (MBHPC) is building a premium, open-access charging network designed for all EV drivers. In this role, you aren't just connecting APIs; As the Senior PM for Roaming & Customer Voice, you are the final gatekeeper for quality. Your goal is to achieve market-leading first-time success rates, ensuring that every driver-regardless of their vehicle brand-experiences a dependable, 100% accurate charging session.

You will lead the charge in achieving market-leading 1st-time success rates. You will have the unique autonomy to "gate-keep" quality, with full sign-off authority on roaming partner go-lives. While you will navigate a shared engineering pool, you will have the data and the forum to ensure the "Voice of the Customer" directly dictates technical priorities.

This role sits at the heart of interoperability, customer trust, and network utilization.

What You'll do 

The Financial Analyst will be a key member of the MBHPC team reporting to the Finance Director.  In this evolving role you will work closely with functional leadership to establish and refine capital expenditure strategy, while building processes to manage operating costs & budgets across the business. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Site Performance: Oversee and optimize the financial performance of individual charging locations through trend analysis and P&L reporting. 
  • Pricing Strategy: Develop and make recommendations based on site performance analysis to inform Consumer Offerings' pricing strategy. 
  • Energy Cost Management: Manage energy costs effectively by collaborating with the Business Intelligence and Energy Management teams to analyze relevant data and optimize utility tariffs. 
  • Financial Performance Analysis: Produce models to project long-term cost management progress; analyze financial and operational results to draw meaningful insights to improve site performance 
  • Site Underwriting: Evaluate the economic viability of a proposed site using various standard and non-standard inputs to deploy EV charging infrastructure in strategic locations. 
  • Process Improvement: Review existing site performance management processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement efforts 

Qualifications:

2 years of FP&A experience including planning and budgeting processes, financial forecasting, modeling, interpreting, and reporting business performance results

Experience performing financial analysis using advanced Excel functionality and providing recommendations based on results to management for strategic decisions

Strong understanding of COGS, gross margins, and revenue recognition principles

Command of Excel, PowerBI, and other data analysis and financial modeling tools

Excellent ability to synthesize data for presentation to executives and partners to support decision making

High degree of analytical capability with proven ability to identify business challenges, structure recommendations and provide insights

Passion for problem-solving and high intellectual curiosity

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels in the organization

Mastery of cross-functional collaboration to identify opportunities to improve the business case
