Develop detailed project scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation and create project plans in AutoCADPrepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including CAD drawings, specifications, change orders, and progress reports. Keep project stakeholders informed of key milestones, risks, and challengesCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and logistics, to ensure seamless project execution. Coordinate with subcontractors and external vendors to manage project deliverables and resolve any issues that may ariseObtain the necessary permits and approvals for projects. Prepare and submit applications, coordinate with authorities, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirementsImplement and maintain quality control processes to ensure that projects meet the highest standards. Perform inspection and address any non-conformities to ensure adherence to design and safety requirementsPromote and enforce a strong safety culture on construction sites. Conduct regular safety audits, ensure compliance with safety regulations including OSHA, and address any safety concerns promptlyRequirements:Bachelor’s Degree in architectural, civil engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fieldStrong proficiency in CAD, 3D Modeling, and other relevant design software4+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Civil Engineer, or related fieldExperience with permitting, building codes, and zoning regulations (preferred)Strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detailProfessional Engineer (PE) or architectural licenses (preferred)OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (preferred; training provided)Valid driver’s licenses with clean driving recordProject engineering: 4 years (Preferred)This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.Why join us?We don’t just “talk the talk!” We’re an award-winning company (recently named a Glassdoor Best Place to Work in 2026) that truly cares about our people - That’s why we offer best-in-class benefits and perks that will support you and your family.
