Testing Required:

Hybrid Role: This role is hybrid, with an established schedule of in-person work required at an assigned work location. Any remote work is expected to be performed from an employee's primary residence, unless allowed (or prohibited) through the Company's remote work guidelines.

Emergency Response: Yes - Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE's emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.

Job Summary

This is a Temporary Employee role at the entry level that will be responsible for tasks and projects across any of the enterprise's business units within the Gas, Electric and LLC companies. This role will support (Insert BU name here, within insert company here). May receive on-the-job training relevant to assigned department and business unit. Tasks and assignments work will focus on one or more of the following: (Insert BU/department specific tasks/responsibilities) .

Key Accountabilities
  • Become oriented in the basics of the business unit and company
  • Communicate through basic presentational and report writing skills
  • Develop, revise and maintain Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, and PowerPoint presentations
  • Collaborate through basic problem-solving skills as they relate to the industry
  • Work with different team members and groups
  • Work safely and adhere to all safety programs
  • Plan, prepare, and execute inperson career fairs and outreach events, coordinate business unit participation, engage with students, collect resumes, and document recommended candidates.
  • Collect hiring requests, review and match applicants, coordinate interviews, create positions/requisitions, and extend student offers.
  • Oversee goal setting and evaluations, run reports, maintain student records, close requisitions, manage leader changes, and coordinate student exits or promotions.
  • Assist HR consultants and managers with administrative and consultingrelated tasks.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

HS Diploma or GED equivalent and a mnimum of 6 months of experience related to HR experience.

Some positions will require driving. Those positions will require the student to have a valid driver's license and a reliable means of transportation

Preferred:

  • Degrees we are considering include Human Resources and Business Administration/Mgt.
  • This position requires travel around the state of Michigan for college career fairs, workshops, etc.
  • Moderate efficiency in Microsoft platform
