Job Description
The Role
This role encompasses a wide array of responsibilities, including onboarding, offboarding, assistance with employee benefits, Human Resources (HR) administration, HR correspondence and more. This role supports maintaining accurate records, ensuring smooth HR processes, and assisting in compliance with company policies and employment legislation. This is a hybrid role out of Reston, Virginia, to support office related tasks at the Headquarters (HQ) location as needed.
Responsibilities:
  • Handle all onboarding processes, including entry of offer letters, drafting contingent job offers, new hire initiation in HR Information Systems (HRIS) system, preparing orientation materials, facilitate a smooth employee integration, and conducting new hire orientation.
  • Handle all out-processing tasks, including drafting separation letters and ensuring state-compliant documentation is accurately administered, and data entry action items.
  • Administration of all status changes, associated confirmation memos, and ensure accurate administration of all employee data into YRCI's HR systems.
  • Administration of spot bonuses, sign-on bonuses, incentive bonuses, retention bonuses.
  • Communicate HR policies and procedures to employees as needed.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and other matters and triage HR mailbox.
  • Serve as the Point of Contact (POC) for HR related phone calls; and general YRCI phone calls.
  • Respond to employment verification requests.
  • Ad hoc HR reporting.
  • Perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy to ensure up-to-date and reliable information.
  • Manage SharePoint employee files to uphold organization and confidentiality standards.
  • Support employees with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and communication, as needed.
  • Assist in managing various HR communications including Intranet postings and emails to the broad employee population
  • Collaborate with the payroll department to facilitate accurate and timely payroll processing.

Job Requirements
Qualifications
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Generic knowledge of standard employee benefits is a big plus.
  • 1-2 years of HR experience.
  • Basic knowledge of HR principles, practices, policies and employment laws.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail; is a quick learner.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Teams, SharePoint, Deltek Costpoint Time and Attendance (T&A).
  • Paycor knowledge is a strong plus.
