Temporary Devops Internship information

Is $20 an hour good for an intern?

For a Temporary Devops Internship, $20 an hour is generally considered competitive, especially for entry-level positions that may require basic knowledge of tools like Docker, Jenkins, or cloud platforms. Interns often earn between minimum wage and $20 per hour, depending on location, skills, and the company's budget, but this rate can be above average for some regions or industries. Factors such as the internship's responsibilities, learning opportunities, and whether it offers additional benefits should also be considered when evaluating pay.

What is the difference between Temporary Devops Internship vs Temporary Cloud Engineer?

AspectTemporary Devops InternshipTemporary Cloud Engineer
Required CredentialsBasic knowledge of DevOps tools, possibly pursuing related certificationsRelevant certifications like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud often preferred
Work EnvironmentInternship setting, often in tech companies or IT departmentsProject-based, cloud platform-focused roles in similar environments
Employer & Industry UsageUsed by companies seeking entry-level DevOps supportUsed by organizations deploying cloud infrastructure and services
Search & Comparison IntentPeople exploring entry-level DevOps roles or internshipsIndividuals comparing cloud-focused roles with DevOps internships

The main difference is that a Temporary Devops Internship is an entry-level, learning-focused position aimed at gaining foundational DevOps skills, while a Temporary Cloud Engineer role involves more technical responsibilities related to cloud infrastructure deployment and management. Both roles are valuable for those starting in IT but differ in scope and required expertise.

Can you get a DevOps job with no experience?

Entry-level DevOps internships and positions often do not require prior experience, focusing instead on foundational skills like scripting, understanding of cloud platforms, and familiarity with tools such as Docker or Jenkins. Gaining certifications or completing relevant coursework can improve chances, but practical experience through labs or personal projects is highly beneficial for securing a DevOps role without prior work experience.

What is the salary for a DevOps intern?

The salary for a DevOps internship typically ranges from $15 to $30 per hour, depending on the location, company, and level of experience. Interns often receive stipends or hourly wages and may have opportunities to learn skills with tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes during their internship period.

Is DevOps dead due to AI?

DevOps remains a vital role in IT, focusing on automation, continuous integration, and deployment processes. AI tools can enhance DevOps workflows but do not replace the need for skilled professionals who manage infrastructure, scripting, and system reliability. As AI advances, DevOps practitioners may need to adapt by integrating new technologies and developing expertise in AI-driven automation.

At the end of the day, you'll be able to participate in company-wide staff events where you can mingle with staff from all of our programs across the city, hang out, and unwind! As an Operations Intern, you can expect to:
  • Use EZ Office Inventory Management System to input and organize asset stocks
  • Assist with Department of Health compliance documentation for School Aged Child Care licensed schools
  • Organize and create site binders for school year programs
  • Organize, pack, and distribute equipment during school year and summer camp transitions
  • Complete research projects on IT services and cybersecurity

Compensation: Internships are unpaid opportunities for first term Interns. There is a $200-$300 completion bonus for unpaid interns. There are also potential opportunities to extend for a second term, paid internship. We can also offer class credit where applicable.
