Description:
  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable temporary contractor to support the Mortgage operations of the Retail and Correspondent Desk.
  • This role will collaborate closely with Loan Officers, Lenders, and other internal departments and individuals to ensure the accurate and timely maintenance of customer loan data.
  • The ideal candidate will bring a foundational understanding of mortgage operations, strong analytical and mathematical abilities, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process loan updates and lock changes in alignment with established pricing and eligibility guidelines.
  • Assist in the testing, validation, and documentation of updates to pricing and eligibility rules.
  • Support reporting, tracking, and audit activities to promote transparency, accuracy, and compliance across Lock Desk operations.
  • Communicate effectively with internal partners to resolve issues and ensure smooth loan pipeline management.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Aboveโ€‘average mathematical skills, including the ability to accurately work with fractions, percentages, and basic calculations essential to pricing and lock scenarios.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong capabilities in Excel.
  • Prior experience in the mortgage industry was preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and timeโ€‘management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problemโ€‘solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to highโ€‘quality customer service in a fastโ€‘paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with crossโ€‘functional teams.
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
  • Experience with Empower, Encompass, or PollyEx is a plus.
