Job description


A public-sector organization is seeking a Business Office Specialist to support benefits and leave administration on a temporary basis through June. This role is primarily focused on FMLA and benefits coordination, with some light accounting-related responsibilities.
Schedule:
  • Full-time, Monday-Friday
  • Fully onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and administer FMLA and employee leave processes
  • Support benefits enrollment and ongoing benefits administration
  • Assist employees with questions related to benefits and leave programs
  • Perform health insurance reconciliations
  • Handle COBRA billing and related processes
  • Provide light support for accounting functions (AP/AR as needed)

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration and/or leave management
  • Strong understanding of FMLA and employee benefits processes
  • Intermediate Excel skills required
  • Experience in a public sector or K-12 education environment is a plus
  • Familiarity with Tyler Technologies or similar systems is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information
