Job description

Radiation Oncology RN - Outpatient

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day Shift: 5x8s, 07:00 - 15:30 or 07:30 - 16:00. No weekend or on-call requirements.

The Radiation Oncology RN will provide specialized nursing care in an outpatient setting, focusing on oncology patients. The role involves working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to ensure effective patient management and care delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer cancer treatments and manage potential side effects.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families.
  • Conduct assessments and monitor patient progress.
  • Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members.
  • Utilize electronic health record (Epic) for documentation and patient tracking.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

  • 2-3 years of nursing experience in an oncology or outpatient clinic setting.
  • SC or Multi-state compact RN license required.
  • BLS certification required; chemo certification preferred.
  • Epic experience is highly preferred.
