RN Operating Room

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Advanced skills needed in the Operating Room.

Description: The unit consists of over 400 beds and includes 11 operating rooms. The patient ratio is 1:1. Staffing includes available unit secretaries and techs. Equipment used includes DaVinci XI, Mazor, Cori, and Velys Robots. Documentation is through a Meditech system. The unit operates 24/7, including weekends. Floating policy is in place as per hospital protocols. All services except for Ophthalmology and Bariatric are performed. Surgical services include GYN, Urology, ENT, General, Ortho, Neuro, Trauma, Vascular, and Plastics. Dress code requires ceil blue scrubs. Unit specific policies and guidelines are available for reference. The facility is recognized for quality patient care and has received numerous accolades. The work environment is described as fast-paced and enjoyable. Staff support one another and maintain a team-oriented atmosphere. Opportunities for scheduled flexibility are accommodated.
