Accounts Receivable Specialist
Temporary-to-Hire
Miami | Full-Time, In-Office
About the Opportunity

A growing national professional services organization is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its accounting team in its Miami-Brickell office. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity and an excellent chance for a recent college graduate looking to begin a career in accounting or finance.

Previous law firm experience is not required. The ideal candidate is bright, detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers, and eager to learn. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with day-to-day accounts receivable functions
  • Post and apply client payments accurately
  • Maintain and update accounts receivable records
  • Review outstanding balances and assist with collection follow-up
  • Research payment discrepancies and account issues
  • Prepare basic accounts receivable reports and spreadsheets
  • Assist with account reconciliations
  • Communicate professionally with internal departments regarding invoices and payments
  • Maintain accurate electronic records and documentation
  • Assist the accounting team with special projects and additional duties as needed
Qualifications
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Previous internship, office, bookkeeping, or accounting experience is helpful, but not required
  • Comfortable working with numbers and financial information
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn new software and processes quickly
  • Dependable, motivated, and willing to take initiative
