Maxus Properties is seeking two Operations Support Specialists, reporting out of the Maxus home office in North Kansas City, Missouri.ย

We specialize in improving property performance through experienced people, innovative technology, and operational excellence. Our mission is to maximize property value while providing exceptional service to our residents.

Position Summary

The Regional Support Specialist reports to the Senior Regional Manager and provides operational support across the portfolio. This role assists with new property onboarding, management transitions, staffing support, special projects, and training. The ideal candidate is adaptable, self-motivated, and able to step into challenging situations while managing multiple priorities.

Essential Responsibilities

Property Support

  • Lead onboarding and transitions for newly acquired or managed communities.
  • Provide temporary operational support for staffing gaps, lease-ups, and turnaround properties.
  • Implement company policies, procedures, and operational standards.

Training & Development

  • Train and mentor new Community Managers and site teams.
  • Reinforce company systems, reporting, and best practices.
  • Assist with developing training resources.

Operations & Compliance

  • Monitor occupancy, leasing, renewals, delinquency, and overall property performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable Fair Housing, HUD, LIHTC, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Identify operational challenges and recommend solutions.

Communication

  • Serve as a liaison between regional leadership and site teams.
  • Provide regular updates on assigned properties and projects.
  • Participate in meetings and portfolio reviews.

Travel

  • Frequent travel is required, including extended stays at properties when needed.
