Job description

Title:
Satellite Control Network Operations Analyst
KBR is seeking a Satellite Control Network Operations Analyst to provide on-site support to Headquarters Combat Forces Command (HQ CFC) located on Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO.
The successful candidate will provide operational, technical, and analytical support to HQ CFC related to Satellite Control Network (SCN) operations, mission assurance, operational readiness, and the assessment of mission impacts resulting changes. The position supports Government decision-making through operational assessments, mission analysis, stakeholder coordination, and strategic recommendations to ensure continued execution of critical space operations missions.
In this position, you will:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess operational impacts associated with modernization efforts, system changes, and emerging capabilities.
  • Review research, development, testing, and fielding activities to evaluate impacts on SCN operations, mission execution, and readiness.
  • Provide analysis, recommendations, and decision-support products to HQ CFC leadership regarding operational risks, mission assurance considerations, and implementation strategies.
  • Evaluate proposed changes to SCN systems, architecture, procedures, and infrastructure from an operational perspective to determine impacts to mission effectiveness and satellite operations.
  • Participate in design reviews, specification reviews, readiness reviews, operational assessments, and configuration audits.
  • Support mission assurance, operational risk management, continuity planning, and readiness evaluation activities.
  • Coordinate with HQ CFC, Space Systems Command (SSC), 22 SOPS, Delta organizations, stakeholders, and other operational partners.
  • Develop operational assessments, briefings, recommendations, executive summaries, meeting minutes, and decision-support products.
  • Analyze mission impacts associated with planned or proposed SCN outages, upgrades, transitions, and capability enhancements.
  • Track action items, operational risks, issues, and decisions impacting mission execution.
  • Support planning activities related to satellite operations, mission readiness, and operational capability development.
  • Provide recommendations to support leadership decisions affecting space operations missions and SCN support to satellite constellations.
  • Travel may be required for limited durations to support customer meetings, reviews, and operational events.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • An active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this position, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
  • Bachelor's degree. Additional relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, including experience supporting military space operations, satellite operations, command and control operations, mission management, or operational planning.
  • Experience supporting or working with the Satellite Control Network (SCN), space operations organizations, satellite command and control activities, telemetry, tracking, and commanding (TT&C), or related operational missions.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate operational impacts, mission risks, readiness considerations, and mission assurance factors associated with system, process, or infrastructure changes.
  • Experience developing analytical products, operational assessments, briefings, recommendations, and decision-support materials for senior leadership.
  • Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders, including operational units, headquarters organizations, acquisition organizations, and external mission partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Desired:
  • Experience supporting HQ CFC, 22 SOPS, Space Delta organizations, CSpOC, or other US Space Force operational organizations.
  • Knowledge of DTRN, SATCOM, DISA services, or communications capabilities supporting space operations missions.

Work Environment:
  • Location: On-site at Peterson SFB, CO
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%
  • Working Hours: Standard

Scheduled Weekly Hours:
40hrs
Basic Compensation:
$115,000 - $130,000
This range is for Colorado only.
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
