Description & Requirements
The Facility and Capital Planning Solution within Healthcare Strategy & Finance team empowers healthcare leaders to deliver quality care, invest in growth, and address capital challenges while meeting the unique needs of their communities. In a rapidly evolving landscape, the team brings deep expertise across the care continuum to guide strategic system facility and capital initiatives.
What You Will Do:
  • Guide the strategic vision of healthcare organizations by leading high-impact facility planning initiatives that enhance growth, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
  • Lead research and data analysis efforts, synthesizing complex information to uncover insights that inform executive-level decision-making.
  • Conduct and supervise comprehensive health system facility planning projects, including regional service distribution, facility master planning, detailed facility programming, operational planning, space planning, and capital planning.
  • Assess the feasibility of strategic initiatives within planning frameworks and tools, ensuring alignment with client strategic goals and implementation parameters.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, fostering their professional development and ensuring high-quality deliverables across engagements.
  • Continuously expand subject matter expertise in healthcare trends, regulations, and consulting methodologies to enhance client value and firm capabilities.
  • Foster collaboration across teams and functions, contributing to a culture of knowledge sharing, innovation, and accountability.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with healthcare leaders, supporting business development efforts and promoting cross-functional service integration.
  • Lead components of client engagements, including project planning, stakeholder communication, data-driven solution development, and results delivery.
  • Lead project delivery, hold internal and external teams accountable to a timeline, proactively identify project risks and develop solutions to address achieving defined engagement objectives and deliver an unmatched client experience.
  • Support proposal development, including opportunity research, scope of work writing, and project fee development.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or related healthcare administration discipline
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in the healthcare strategy and/or facility planning industry
  • Experience in one or more of the following healthcare areas: strategic planning, healthcare network development, facility master planning, detailed facility programming
  • Experience within a professional services firm
  • Experience managing engagement teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate to Advanced)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MArch, MBA, MHA
  • Familiarity and experience with the Veterans Affairs' and/or Indian Health Service's system, service, facility and capital planning process.

Illinois Wage Transparency
Pursuant to Illinois' Equal Pay Act, the salary range displayed is for the Illinois market. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Non-exempt/hourly positions will be eligible for time and half pay for employees that work over 40 hours in a workweek. Benefits are eligibility-based and could include group health plan benefits, 401(K), bonuses, profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave.
