Employer & Industry UsageUsed by staffing agencies, headhunting firmsUsed by staffing agencies, HR departments
Search & Comparison IntentFinding top talent for specific rolesFilling multiple roles quickly

While both Temp Headhunters and Temp Recruiters work in staffing, Temp Headhunters focus on sourcing specialized, high-level talent for specific roles, often through targeted searches. Temp Recruiters typically handle volume hiring for temporary positions, managing multiple candidates simultaneously. Understanding these differences helps employers choose the right professional for their staffing needs.

Who are the big five headhunters?

The 'Big Five' headhunters typically refer to the largest global executive search firms: Korn Ferry, Egon Zehnder, Spencer Stuart, Russell Reynolds Associates, and Heidrick & Struggles. These firms specialize in high-level talent acquisition, often requiring specialized skills and industry knowledge for executive placements.

How much does it cost to hire a headhunter for a job?

Hiring a temp headhunter typically involves a fee that ranges from 15% to 25% of the candidate's first-year salary. Some headhunters charge a flat fee or hourly rate, especially for short-term or specialized placements. Costs can vary based on the industry, role complexity, and the headhunter's experience.

What is the 70 30 rule in hiring?

The 70/30 rule in hiring suggests that employers should spend approximately 70% of their time evaluating candidates' skills and qualifications, and 30% assessing cultural fit and soft skills. For a temp headhunter, understanding this balance helps in identifying candidates who are both capable and aligned with client needs.

Is it good to use a headhunter to find a job?

Using a headhunter can be beneficial for a temp headhunter role as they often have access to exclusive job opportunities and industry connections. They can help match candidates with suitable temporary positions quickly, especially in specialized fields, but candidates should also research the company's reputation and the headhunter's track record before engaging.
