Top Client in need of Clinical Pharmacist Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is providing general clinical and pharmacy services, including supervision of technical staff. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.

In this role you will:
  • Interpret orders and transcribe or verify them accurately and efficiently into the pharmacy computer system.
  • Accurately compound and dispense pharmaceuticals.
  • Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies and appropriateness of drug and dose.
  • Sustain the hospital formulary, minimizing nonformulary procurements, utilizing therapeutic interchanges and promotes rational drug therapy selection.
  • Provide accurate and timely medication information to healthcare staff and patients.
  • Assist with clinical services such as drug consults, nutrition support, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulant monitoring, pain management, IV to PO, renal dosing and other programs as defined by Pharmacy Leadership.
  • Document all clinical activities and interventions accurately and completely.
  • Complete notification reports regarding medication errors and adverse drug reactions.
  • Effectively supervise pharmacy operation activities and provide support to the whole pharmacy team.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Open to New Grad Pharmacists that completed an internship in a hospital setting. Looking for a candidate with at least 1 year of recent hospital experience or the completion of a PGY-1 in a hospital setting. *MUST HAVE ACUTE HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE LAST YEAR
  • B.S. or PharmD from and ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy required
  • Minimum of one year of hospital experience is preferred
  • Active pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate Florida State Board of Pharmacy
