Now Hiring – Rail Terminal Diesel Mechanic.
Location: CSX Bedford Park, IL.
Take your skills to a place where they truly matter. At Pacific Rail Services (PRS), we keep CSX Bedford Park—one of the busiest rail terminals in the region—moving every single day. We need a top-tier diesel mechanic who’s ready to own the job.

Schedule with Two consecutive days off:
You will be assigned to one of the below shifts. Days off are assigned by seniority bid:
  • 05:00 – 13:30.
  • 09:00 – 17:30.
  • 14:00 – 22:30.

The Work You’ll Do:
  • Maintain heavy forklifts, hostlers, and terminal vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair air, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
  • Weld, fabricate, and problem-solve on the spot.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to keep operations flowing.
  • Adapt and assist wherever needed—every day is different.

What You Bring:
  • Minimum 2 years of diesel or heavy equipment experience.
  • Your own hand tools (we provide a generous yearly allowance)
  • Knowledge of air brakes, electrical, hydraulics, and diesel engines.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a 7-year background check and drug screen.
  • No diploma required—your skills and experience speak for themselves.
