The Forensic Nurse Manager provides leadership and oversight of forensic nursing programs across two Northern Colorado Banner facilities. This role ensures high-quality patient care, supports and leads staff training, and partners with multidisciplinary teams including law enforcement, legal professionals, and healthcare providers. Additional responsibilities include maintaining regulatory compliance, developing policies, and ensuring best practices in evidence collection and documentation.

Schedule & Location:
Full-time, Monday-Friday (five 8-hour shifts), supporting Banner Fort Collins Medical Center and Banner North Colorado Medical Center (Greeley). On call required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Requires SANE-A and SANE-P certifications at time of application. Prior Forensic RN experience preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position promotes and provides optimal care of patients through leadership, coordination and development of processes related to Forensic care. This RN role is the center of the Forensic Nurse Examiners program within the facility responsible for providing broad oversight and assists other leaders to establish, oversee, conduct and evaluate quality improvement for the forensic exam and patient care. Enhances the Program though the coordination of daily operations to include but not limited to chart audits for data abstracting and analysis; facilitating forensic education programs/events within the facility and community using a comprehensive team approach. Oversees and ensures compliance with local, state or national organizations for certification/validations.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Supervises the daily activities and operations of non-exempt, exempt and/or technical staff. Provides training and development for staff.
2. Improves efficiency and accomplishes operational objectives. Identifies and resolves tactical problems. Resolves basic to moderately complex customer complaints or problems.
3. Accountable for the daily performance of a unit. Makes decisions - guided by policies, procedures and own business plan - that impact the efficiency and effectiveness of own unit and other units with interrelated processes. Works within budgetary/financial objectives set by manager.
4. Interacts primarily with direct reports, supervisor, internal customers, peer managers, patients and physicians.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent working knowledge in the related field.
Must possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice, temporary RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. ACLS and BLS certifications are required. SANE-A experience required.
Typically requires 3+ years of experience in the functional area with experience as a lead. Requires a proficiency level typically achieved with 3- 5 years of clinical experience in area of specialty. Requires excellent leadership skills and an ability to interact well across departments, facilities, and organizations. Excellent program management skills to effectively provide broad clinical and quality oversight while maintaining the success of stroke program.
Computer skills including basic office software (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior supervisory or program management experience preferred. SANE-P certification preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

Estimated Pay Range:

$37.91 - $63.19 / hour Banner Health is committed to pay equity and transparency. The posted compensation range is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay Banner Health in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. This range is based on possible base salaries and does not include the value of our total rewards package. Actual pay determined at offer will be based on years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location, along with a review of current employees in similar roles to ensure pay equity is achieved and maintained.
