Job description

About Atmosphere TV
Atmosphere TV is the world's leading streaming TV platform built for business - powering screens in restaurants, bars, gyms, airports, and waiting rooms across the country. We deliver premium, sound-off content and contextually relevant advertising to four distinct audiences: venue owners and operators, advertisers and brand marketers, content creators, and the everyday people watching in those spaces.
We are a company that moves fast, thinks big, and is building something genuinely new in the media landscape. Our marketing team is small, ambitious, and growing. Every person who joins adds real weight to the mission. We operate as a shared service and truly believe that marketing is a force multiplier to the great work and product that currently exists.
About the role
We are looking for a VP of Marketing to serve as the number two on the marketing team, working directly under the SVP, Head of Marketing. This is the second marketing hire at Atmosphere TV who truly knows the craft - meaning you bring deep expertise in paid, owned, earned, and shared content and media and you know how to deploy all of them in service of a brand that is still finding its full voice.
This is not a role for someone who manages from a distance. You will think at the highest strategic level and then roll up your sleeves and make it happen. You'll work across all four of our audiences and all of our teams - helping establish Atmosphere TV as a household name among advertisers, a go-to partner for content creators, an indispensable platform for venue owners, and a beloved daily presence for the people in those spaces.
We are a team of exceptional thinkers who respect one another and lead with humanity. The person who thrives here will be as comfortable ideating on a brand narrative as they are building an influencer campaign brief or drafting a PR pitch. No job is too big, no job is too small.
What you'll do
This role spans the full marketing mix. Below is a representative picture of what you'll own and influence.
Brand Building & Narrative
  • Elevate every marketing touchpoint - from the way we show up at industry events to how we write a one-pager - so that Atmosphere TV is unmistakably, memorably itself.
  • Partner with the SVP to develop and codify a brand narrative that resonates across all four audiences and creates clear differentiation in the market.
  • Identify and lead new brand-building paths - sponsorships, experiential, thought leadership, creator partnerships - that extend beyond where we've gone before.

Paid, Owned, Earned & Shared Media
  • Own the integrated marketing strategy across all channels, with particular depth in content marketing, social, influencer, and digital paid media.
  • Build and execute multi-channel campaigns - from concept through measurement - that drive brand recognition and audience growth.
  • Lead our full editorial brand calendar and social presence with a strong brand voice: knowing what to post, where, why, and how to build an engaged community across platforms.
  • Ideate constantly. Bringing new creative thinking to all work and partnering closely with our Head of Creative to bring this work to life.

PR & Earned Media
  • Serve as the internal strategic lead on our PR agency relationship - bringing ideas, pitches, and momentum so that earned media becomes a real muscle for Atmosphere TV.
  • Identify and develop compelling story angles that get us into Ad Age, Adweek, Digiday, trade press, and beyond - connecting our platform's unique position to the industry conversations that matter.
  • Build moments that matter and get noticed. Using the relationships you have with our internal team and roadmap to expose great pieces of our story to the external world.

Content Marketing
  • Develop a content marketing engine - thought leadership, editorial, video, social-first content, executive narratives - that speaks distinctly to each of our audiences.
  • Bring rigor to how we measure content performance and use those insights to sharpen our strategy continuously.

Events & Experiential
  • Partner with the events team to bring a sharp marketing lens to every Atmosphere TV presence - from top-tier events like, Cannes Lions, to industry trade events - ensuring each moment builds brand equity and opens new conversations.
  • Conceive and activate brand moments that feel intentional and earned, not just transactional sponsorship plays.

Team & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Work closely with ad sales, product, and executive leadership to align marketing efforts with business goals and ensure the brand shows up consistently across every audience touchpoint.
  • Help grow and mentor the marketing team as we hire - modeling the kind of collaborative, no-ego, high-craft culture we're building.
  • Bring a test-and-learn mindset: propose new approaches, run smart experiments, measure rigorously, and share what you find.

Qualifications
  • 12-15+ years of marketing experience, with meaningful time on the brand/client side, agency side, or both - you understand how marketing works from multiple vantage points.
  • A genuine generalist with a specialty: you can hold a strategic brand conversation and then go build the influencer brief, write the social caption, and brief the PR agency yourself.
  • Deeply fluent in paid, owned, earned, and shared channels - you know how they work together and how to prioritize across them.
  • A natural storyteller who can translate what Atmosphere TV does into narratives that resonate with marketers, venue owners, creators, and press.
  • Experienced in social, content marketing, and influencer strategy - you've built programs from scratch and have the receipts to show for it.
  • Comfortable working with PR agencies as a strategic thought partner, not just a pass-through - you bring ideas, you push, and you help them do their best work.
  • A curious, sharp thinker who actively seeks out what's next in the industry and brings it back to the team.
  • A human leader: warm, direct, collaborative, and allergic to unnecessary hierarchy. You earn respect by doing excellent work and treating people well.
  • Comfortable in ambiguity and energized by building - this is a growing organization and a growing marketing team, which means there's real room to shape things.

Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with the B2B marketing landscape - experience marketing to both brand marketers/advertisers and business operators.
  • Background working with or alongside media agencies, PR firms, or strategic advisory partners
  • Experience at a company that was actively building brand recognition - not just maintaining an established one.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Base salary range $200,000 - $235,000
  • Company Equity
  • Company 401(k) with employer matching
  • Competitive insurance plans
  • Flexible Time Off Policy

*Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
Our Commitment to Diversity:
Don't meet every single requirement? Research shows that women and underrepresented groups often hesitate to apply unless they meet all the criteria. At Atmosphere, we're committed to building a diverse, inclusive team where creativity, innovation, and teamwork thrive. If you're excited about this role but your experience doesn't perfectly align with every qualification, we still encourage you to apply-you might be the right fit for this or another role.
Why Atmosphere TV
We occupy a genuinely unique space in media - and we're only beginning to tell that story. You'll have real ownership, real visibility, and a team that cares deeply about the craft. We don't have bureaucracy - we have momentum. If you want to build something meaningful alongside people who are thoughtful, creative, and genuinely good at what they do, this is it.
