Job description

This role will be responsible for greeting and assisting customers and guests as the receptionist for our corporate location. In addition to receptionist reponsibilities, the Purchasing Operations Representative will assist and provide support to the Director, Managers and Purchasing Agents within the Purchasing Department.
This role will interact with internal and external customers and will also be required to maintain good working relationships with outside service providers.
Responsible for greeting clients, answering phones and taking messages, performing general clerical/administrative tasks such as entering/updating information into client database, generating/updating documents in MS Word, updating Excel Spreadsheets, updating PowerPoint diagrams, scanning/filing documents, supply room maintenance, ensuring office and kitchen are neat and presentable.
Must be punctual, able to multitask, a self-starter able to work independently and proactively manage projects and handle confidential materials. Must have good typing skills, and be detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on good grammar are required.
Ability to operate a variety of basic office equipment, including PCs, printers, photocopiers, scanner, telephone systems, fax machines, mail machines, binding equipment, and more.
