Job description

Telemetry Technician

HSHS St.Vincent Hospital is seeking a Telemetry Technician to join our Intensive Care unit. Telemetry Technicians observe telemetry monitors and work collaboratively with nursing staff to ensure consistent patient safety.

Position Specifics:

  • Department: Intensive Care Unit. Core Function: Nursing support
  • Schedule: Part-time, 18 hrs/wk, night shift (7pm-7am); and every third weekend
  • Facility: St. Vincent Hospital
  • Location: Green Bay, WI

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED-Required

Experience:

  • 1 year Telemetry experience-Preferred
  • 2 years' experience in the medical field-Preferred

Certifications Licenses and Registrations:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)-Required
  • Certification in cardiac technology by the American Cardiology Association-Preferred
  • Successfully complete basic EKG training at the first offering and 16 hours of 12-lead EKG training within 3 months of hire-Required
  • Certification by the State as Certified Medical Assistant Certified Nurse Assistant Licensed Paramedic Licensed LPN with EKG training or a RN nursing student with EKG training required in WI.
  • Certification by the State as Certified Medical Assistant Certified Nurse Assistant Licensed Paramedic Licensed LPN with EKG training or a RN nursing student with EKG training preferred in IL.
