Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.Patient Diagnoses:Variety of diagnoses from solid tumors to some blood cancersHIGH acuity patient population. Chemotherapy competence is not required for unit, but we are willing to help with professional development and send you to our 2-day chemo course for training if interested. Special Procedures/Unit Details:-Pediatric patients are cared for on this unit but are extremely rare and would likely be cared for by perm staff. Pediatric experience is NOT required to be agency RN here. -Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient fallsSpecial Equipment: B450 monitors GE telemetry system. Bladder Scanner. Alaris pumps. Continuous Bladder Irrigation PCA PumpsRequirements: 2 years of oncology experience preferred, but NOT REQUIRED. 2 yrs inpatient nursing experience required Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
