• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ psychosocial needs, focusing on emotional, psychological, and social factors affecting their recovery journey.
• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their families, ensuring alignment with their recovery goals and preferences.
• Provide ongoing counseling and emotional support to clients, assisting them in coping with the challenges of addiction and transition into recovery.
• Advocate for clients, ensuring they have access to necessary community resources, healthcare services, and support networks.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care, sharing insights regarding clients’ status and progress towards their goals.
• Conduct regular check-ins with clients via telehealth to monitor their well-being, adjust care plans as necessary, and address any emerging concerns.
• Facilitate family meetings and communications to resolve conflicts, promote understanding, and ensure coherent support systems for clients.
• Educate clients and families about resources available within the community, including support groups, therapy programs, and further treatment options.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and care plans, adhering to regulatory and ethical standards.
• Stay informed about best practices in social work, substance abuse treatment, and relevant policies to ensure compliance and enhance service delivery.

This position primarily focuses on adults undergoing detoxification and recovery from substance use disorders. The Social Worker will play a critical role in addressing the psychosocial barriers these individuals face, helping them to navigate not only their recovery journey but also the personal and relational challenges that often accompany it.

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited university.
• Current licensure as a Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Texas.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a related social work role, ideally within substance use treatment, detox settings, or community service environments.
• Deep understanding of social work principles and effective interventions for clients experiencing addiction.
• Proven ability to assess client needs and create tailored approaches to support their recovery path.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for rapport-building with clients, families, and colleagues.

• Experience in a remote or telehealth social work setting, facilitating virtual care.
• Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with telehealth technologies.
• Background in group therapy facilitation or family counseling.
