Better Selves Therapy, Ltd is seeking dedicated Associate Mental Health Counselors to join our collaborative team based in Riverside, California. This full-time remote role offers the opportunity to work in a telehealth environment, providing essential mental health services while earning supervised hours toward licensure. Work Environment

This position allows you to work remotely while utilizing our advanced telehealth platform. Our work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a structured schedule that supports work-life balance. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes licensed therapists, administrative staff, and support personnel, all dedicated to providing exceptional care to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized therapy sessions to clients of diverse ages and backgrounds, focusing on various mental health conditions.
  • Document therapy sessions thoroughly, maintaining accurate and confidential client records in compliance with state guidelines.
  • Engage in regular collaboration with care teams; attend case reviews to discuss client progression and treatment strategies.
  • Assist in developing treatment plans, evaluating client progress and outcomes, to refine therapeutic approaches as needed.
  • Participate in weekly supervision meetings and ongoing staff training, fostering professional development and ethical practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients encompass a broad spectrum of ages and diagnoses, allowing you to gain experience with various mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to trauma and relationship issues. You will play a valuable role in helping clients identify their needs and work collaboratively toward achieving their mental health goals.

Qualifications
  • Must be registered in California as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Social Worker (ASW), or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC).
  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in a mental health discipline is required, with a Masterโ€™s degree preferred.
  • Basic proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to efficiently manage client information and documentation.
  • Possess strong ethical standards and clinical judgment, essential for navigating the complexities of mental health counseling.
  • A genuine eagerness to grow professionally and contribute positively to a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a mental health counseling role is desirable.
  • Experience utilizing telehealth platforms and adapting to virtual care methodologies is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
