Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end delivery of assigned technical projects, including data center consolidations, site exits, voice network unification, platform decommissioning, and billing integration changes.
  • Break down projects into detailed tasks with clear owners, dependencies, milestones, and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate service orders with internal engineering teams and ensure execution through to closure.
  • Escalate delivery risks to carriers and third-party vendors when timelines or commitments are at risk.
  • Ensure alignment of data center and field teams with internal processes and operational procedures.
  • Apply structured project management practices including scheduling, status reporting, change control, and RAID management.
  • Act as the primary point of accountability for project status, risks, blockers, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate across Network Engineering, Operations, IT, Product teams, and external partners (carriers, vendors, colocation providers).
  • Manage financial tracking with Finance, including budgets, forecasts, actuals, and validation of cost savings and avoided spend.
  • Produce clear project reporting, dashboards, and executive-level updates, translating technical progress into business impact.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of hands-on project management experience, with a meaningful portion in telecommunications, network engineering, or data center operations.
  • Demonstrated ownership of technical projects from initiation through closure, including budget, schedule, scope, and risk.
  • Working knowledge of voice services and IP networking, including how voice (SIP / VoIP) networks operate end-to-end, data center infrastructure and cross-connects, private connectivity processes with carriers, and general IP networking concepts.
  • Prior experience with coordinating service orders, carrier escalations, and multi-party cutovers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to run a meeting, drive decisions, and follow up reliably.
  • Proficiency with standard project management tools (MS Project, Jira, etc) and with Excel for tracking and basic financial analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a telecom vendor, operator, ISP, carrier, UCaaS, or wholesale voice environment.
  • Experience supporting data center consolidation, migration, or exit projects.
  • Exposure to platform rationalization or post-merger integration work.
  • Good familiarity with SBCs, session management and relevant technologies at a conceptual level.
  • PMP or equivalent certification.
