Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Analyst to support a mission-critical federal program dedicated to national defense. This individual will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise telecommunications systems that ensure secure and reliable communication across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and maintain enterprise telecom systems, PBX platforms, and supporting technologies (SIP, RTP, SRTP) in coordination with internal teams and vendors.
  • Monitor and analyze telecom and network performance and uptime, proactively identifying and resolving issues affecting call quality or service continuity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve telephony-related issues including phones, routers, call systems, connectivity, and audio quality problems, often within Unix/Linux environments.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of scalable telecom solutions that align with business requirements and mission priorities.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
  • Active Secret clearance is required.
  • Due to contract requirements, only US Citizens can be considered. Candidates with dual citizenship cannot be considered.
  • 7+ years of experience in VOIP administration or a related telecommunications role.
    • 4+ years focused on analysis, design implementation, trouble shooting and design of telecom systems.
    • 2+ years working in a Unix/Linux environment, monitoring networks,
  • Solid hands-on experience with telecom protocols, codecs, and technologies (e.g., SIP, RTP, SRTP).
  • Demonstrated experience with Unix/Linux systems for troubleshooting and configuration.
  • Strong network experience, including IP routing, DNS, QoS, firewall rules, and VLANs as they relate to VOIP.
  • Experience with administration tasks such as managing user accounts, call routing, and provisioning extensions.
  • Candidates reside within a commutable distance for daily onsite work and on-call requirements.
  • This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime. Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Recent experience with DHS.
  • Relevant certifications: CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Avaya Certified Specialist, Certified Telecommunications Network Specialist (CTNS), etc.
  • Scripting language experience.
  • Experience working on Avaya systems.

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 to $87,000.00. Actual compensation will depend on a range of factors, including but not limited to the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, location, other business and organizational needs, and applicable employment laws.
