Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering OR formal Spectrum Management Certifications


Brief Description of the Work

The Cellular / Radio Frequency Engineer II manages the planning, scope, development, design, direction, and technical execution of major projects related to technologies in the Cellular System at MuTC. This role drives overall RF Spectrum Engineering and spectrum management across MuTC and Camp Atterbury, including tracking spectrum requests, monitoring baselines, and performing local deconfliction.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in Cellular System Operations, Radio and Radio Frequencies (RF), and Spectrum Management.
  • Proven experience with 2G/3G/4G/5G technology operations, various cellular frequencies, and direct coordination with license owners.
  • Familiarity with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Experimental Special Temporary Authority (STA) Licensing Applications or equivalent military licensing paths.
  • Practical knowledge of the operational and performance characteristics of telecommunication equipment, transmission media, and component relationships inside communication systems.
Desired Skills & Preferences
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and deconflicting spectrum directly with training customers to facilitate multi-domain objectives.
  • Familiarity with commonly applied telecommunication approaches, field measurement methodologies, and signal testing techniques.
