Job description

Job Overview
The PCX Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor overseas the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency. Manages the junior manufacturing engineer team to aggressively initiate new processes and methods for continuous improvement in the areas of safety, cost reduction, standardization, and quality. Fully responsible for the designs that support a smooth transition to manufacturing for new products and projects. The Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor reports to the Senior Operations Manager and works closely with Production Supervisors, Application Engineers, Production Engineers, and the Quality Department.
A Day In The Life
  • Ensures the junior engineering team and other manufacturing departments work together cohesively.
  • Responsible for the development of equipment to aid in the manufacturing process.
  • Lead Kaizen Teams to successful completion of targeted projects
  • Provide documented information on labor and material costs and inform management of excessive costs relating to project or product implementations.
  • Reviews, evaluates, and implements engineering changes and specification requirements.
  • Collaborates with Engineering group to evaluate and implement Engineering Changes and Deviations for materials and processes as well as effectively communicate changes to operations group.
  • Collaborate with Quality team on periodic quality corrective and preventive action reviews, track the quality status of projects.
  • Conduct time studies and continuous process improvement activities; providing necessary feed-back regarding time efficiency, quoted time accuracy, and general variance from the established (quoted) times after jobs' completion.
  • Develop and train work instructions for manufacturing processes and tool operation.
  • Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of the department's objectives and individual performances, meeting company milestones and goals.
  • Adheres to PCX Quality Management System and ISO9001 standards.
  • Must follow PCX safety guidelines and requirements
  • Must be able to work in a team environment which requires cooperating with others, offering help when needed, and maintaining positive work relationships
  • Background check and drug-screen are required
