We currently have new opportunities for a Telecom Network Engineer to support the DLA in Columbus, OH.
Responsibilities:
  • Works under general supervision.
  • Will design, configure, manage, and troubleshoot the Telecom/Collaboration architecture.
  • Develop the requirements to resolve or address current deficiencies in the infrastructure due to the changing demands of the current environment.
  • Perform aspects of project management and communicates project statuses project stakeholders.
  • Work on installation and configuration of the new devices, submitting ECRs to request IPs, ports, VMs when necessary.
  • Work with Data Center POCs to secure rack, power and connectivity.
  • Develop required specifications to submit solutions for simple, moderate and complex problems.
  • Coordinate with the Vendor PM, COTRs, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.
  • Provide input to short/long-term strategies and participates in budget planning.
  • Capable of performing at/or above the Telecom Network Junior Engineer, and VTC Lead equivalencies.
  • Must, at times, be able to perform above or below acting grade/position.
Minimum Experience:
  • Two (2) to Five (5) years of progressive Information Technology (IT) experience including at least two projects in technical areas including networking and/or Cisco Video Tele-Conferencing.
  • At least one project must have occurred within the past three (3) years.
  • Additional experience in the Video Teleconferencing arena, including deployment, troubleshooting, and supporting VTCs in a dynamic environment.
Security/Certification Requirements:
  • MUST possess a current/active Top-Secret security clearance.
  • MUST possess a current/active IAT II (i.e., Security+) or higher certification.
  • U.S. Citizenship is Mandatory.
Computing Environment: Required VTC Certifications:
  • Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions (CCNP) v1.0 (preferred)

  • Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions (CCNA) v1.0 (minimum)
