JRS Wire Management, Inc.

TELECOM TECHNICIAN - JRS Wire Management, Inc. is currently looking for a Telecom Technician to work in the Greensburg, PA area.

Candidates should have experience in the following:

· Installing/terminating structured wire cabling systems for data, voice, and video communications networks in a large campus environment

· Demonstrate proficiency with moves, adds, changes, and basic troubleshooting skills on Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Meet-Me Conferencing.

· Have an understanding of the OSI model.

· Basic knowledge of Cisco routers/switches

· Familiarity with Telco circuits/equipment, demarc, smart jacks, DID, DS1, PRI, Analog, MBL’s, NID’s, and customer interface and handoff.

· Installing, terminating, and certifying copper, fiber, and coaxial cabling systems

· Proficiency with 66 blocks, 110 terminations, patch panels, CAT 6, copper terminations and certifications, fiber terminations (LC, SC, and ST Siecor Unicam connectors / fusion splicing), etc….

· Knowledge of BICSI wiring standards and installation techniques

· BICSI Certifications a plus (Level 2, Technician, etc.)

· Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Windows Servers, Remote Desktop, Putty, CLI.

· Good communications skills/customer service skills required

· Some overnight travel and overtime required

· Clean background and drug check required

· Participate in a rotating on-call schedule required.
