Job description


The Project Manager is responsible for overall coordination, status reporting and stability of project-oriented work efforts. This individual will manage projects from initiation through implementation and post-implementation assessment while adhering to project management and change management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. To drive project success, this role is responsible for assembling project management deliverables, directing and monitoring work efforts, identifying resource needs, performing quality review, and escalating issues appropriately. This is a hybrid position that requires in office hours.
Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required. Will consider commensurate experience
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a project management role is required. Experience in banking or financial services is strongly preferred.
Certificate, Licenses and Registration Requirements:
• Formal Project Management training strongly preferred; PMP Certification preferred. Candidates who do not have formal project management training or a PMP certification must be willing to obtain formal project management training within one year of employment.
• CCMP certification preferred (Prosci certification a plus)
• Agile experience and/or Scrum training a plus
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:
• Experience with Project Management tools. Planview and/or Jira preferred
• Demonstrated experience managing projects of medium/large size and scope
• Ability to effectively manage simultaneous projects
• Demonstrated leadership ability with experience influencing and driving cross-functional teams
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include effective presentation skills
Essential Functions:
• Manages all assigned projects to timely completion within scope and budget.
• Develops, defines, and maintains project plan including scope, deliverables, and resource distribution.
• Effectively utilize project management software to track project progress and manage resources to drive project completion.
• Manages a cross-functional deployment team including internal and third-party resources when necessary; coordinates and tracks activities amongst all to achieve goals.
• Coordinates and facilitates project meetings including role and task assignment, status reporting, and issue identification/resolution.
• Maintains communication with all project stakeholders.
• Addresses problems through risk management and contingency planning and presents solutions and/or options to executive management.
• Mentors other Project Managers.
• Monitors effectiveness of project management and change management processes and methodologies; recommends improvements as necessary.
