Job description

Position Summary

Role and Responsibilities

Responsible for analyzing the customer requirements, converting them into system requirements and capturing detailed design for the development team. Aid in product & feature performance analysis, evaluation of new product & SW releases. Perform detailed analysis of 4G/5G distributed and virtualized RAN, Network Management solution and professional services, both individually and in a team environment Wireless Call Protocols. Responsible for analyzing and troubleshooting the issues. Provide subject matter expert technical support in the pre-sales process and create compelling technical and commercial solutions to help achieve the assigned sales goals and business objectives. Translate and communicate complex technical design considerations between the Samsung sales team and carriers' network business. Work closely with various support organizations, logistics, and cross-functional teams from SEA and Samsung HQ to achieve successful new product rollouts and developments.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronic and Communication Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent plus 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or any telecom/engineer related job titles.

Applicant must have 5 years of experience in the following: (1) RAN Virtualization and EMS experience; (2) telecom software architecture, design, deployment, and End to End (E2E) service integration; (3) Authoring EMS network element (NE) software upgrade method of procedures (MOPs) and working with the customer to execute MOPs in commercial networks; (4) Tier3 support, including troubleshooting the commercial RAN, NMS/EMS application issues, providing work-arounds to the customer to reboot system, working with R&D, and providing the root cause analysis (RCA) to the customer; (5) Virtualization technologies, including ETSI MANO, Orchestrator, VNF Manager, Virtual Infrastructure Manager, and ECOMP/ONAP modules; (6) OpenStack (Virtualization) Platform Services, managing Openshift/Kubernetes environments; (7) Netconf protocol, YANG models and Restful API's; (8) 3GPP systems, including Core and RAN networks, architecture and protocols; and (9) High Availability and redundancy systems. 20% domestic travel required to visit US customer locations.
